Don sold me two bomb proof horses twenty years ago….the man is simply the best in the game…so much so that I will make the trip from PA when my needs arrive…. My kids still talk about the summer shows that they participated in!

We bought Wildfire (formerly Nevada) from Don when he was still on Pennsylvania. Wildfire had given many of his students an education in barrel racing – and lucky for us, and my then 9 year old son, we came along when Don didn’t have any young students in the pipeline so we were able to purchase him.

Not only did Wildfire help my son to safely learn about barrel racing – the pair won the 2014 Virginia State Horse and Pony Championship Horse Show champion in Gymkana!

Not only was he fast, yet safe in speed classes, but he was also fantastic on the trail.

Wildfire is well into his 30s now and retired with us.

We are so grateful to Don and his team for this wonderful horse who provided us with the most amazing memories and who we are happy to have had and will gave to the day he gets called home.

Wonderful friends purchased a Missouri Fox Trotter from Don and I was delighted with their find. So when I was searching for a new to me riding companion, I contacted Skyline Stables. This is where we found Nike. A 10 year old bay gelding diamond in the rough. I had been riding endurance for about 1 1/2 years and Nike took to it like a charm. We rode a few intro rides before we moved to the limited distance (25 to 35 miles). We are hoping to try our first 50 miles this fall. Nike is one of the many awesome horses that Don and his team has turned in to a diamond.

Well one horse was just not enough! Our 1st experience was nothing short of excellent with Don & Skyline Stables so we were back for a 2nd horse! “Corncob” a gorgeous paint stole our hearts the 1st time we saw him so we had to come back & take him home with us! A little nervous after not having a horse for several years, I can’t say enough about Don, his staff & Skyline Stables! He & his staff are very honest, integral, very professional & extremely kind willing to help in every way!

We purchased a Missouri Fox Trotter for my hubby as a “Smooth” trail riding horse. Well, Plans Change!! Bane has become my BEST friend in the sport of Endurance Riding. We have recorded 360 endurance miles over the past 2 1/2 years. He is an underdog in the sport but don’t tell him that because he’s taken 1st place! Bane came to us well trained and mannered (both on ground and in saddle) which allowed us to succeed in this new adventure! Thank you Don for helping make my dreams come true!

I was referred to Skyline Stables by a friend who had purchased several horses from Don and had nothing but glowing reviews about his business.

I called Don and let him know I hadn’t ridden in many years and that I was interested in buying his horse Lincoln. Don did a thorough job asking me questions that he said would make sure he got me a horse that was the right fit for me and my abilities. I was pretty set on trying out Lincoln after seeing the YouTube videos Don had posted, and he agreed that Lincoln would be a great fit for me.

I arrived for my appointment and Don and his staff were already set up for me to go see Lincoln and take a test ride. I was extremely impressed with the care and attention they all put into the appointment. Lincoln was already saddled and ready to go when I got there. One of his staff (Kadence) was really helpful with making me feel calm, since I was pretty nervous. Turns out I shouldn’t have been. It was a wonderful experience! After spending over an hour going over everything Don said he really thought that I would outgrow Lincoln and said he had another horse he thought might be a better fit for me. He gave me all the reasons why he made the suggestion and they were all correct. I took a chance and decided to try to ride Danny (the horse he thought would be a better fit). I fell in love with Danny the minute I started riding him. I knew without a doubt that he was the perfect horse for me!

I ended up getting Danny and I am sooooo thankful that Don listened to me in what I wanted and watched me ride and offered a horse that he knew would be more suitable for me to grow into. If I had gone with Lincoln, I would have outgrown him in a month or two.

I was also able to buy all of my tack from them from their onsite store, which made things so much easier and convenient!

I have texted and called numerous times with questions and guidance, and he has always been very professional and patient in answering all of my questions.

I have nothing but excellent things to say about Don and his staff. I will definitely be a repeat customer and I have told several friends about Skyline Stables!

I purchased a gelding named Crow three years ago from Skyline Stables. He’s even better than advertised! Kept me and my unborn baby safe on the trails throughout my pregnancy. I can’t say enough good things about Skyline Stables!

My daughter and niece have wanted a horse for years and when we saw Lincoln’s video we fell in love! We scheduled a visit and decided to see everything Skyline Stables had to offer for a beginner. My daughter tried Lincoln out first then jumped on Smoke! Let’s just say after riding them both it was decided they were both coming home! Don and the girls were so kind, patient and thorough, answering all of our questions. I’m so happy we found our forever horses.

I just found out I could leave a review here, so here it is. I bought my horse Breeze from Skyline, Don and his girls, several months ago. I made an appointment and was surprised to see that they had 4 horses in for my to try. I rode them all with no pressure to hurry or make a decision. I bought my boy Breeze and have been so happy ever since. Great ppl , honest and I had so much fun. Highly recommend.
